A glance into the past

This one goes out to all my preggo friends...

It's amazing how quickly and revealing 2 minutes and 3 seconds can be. It was Friday, August 8th, 2008. Q and I were gearing up to meet our friends at O'Dowd's for a beer after a long tough week at work. We had carpooled to work that day (yes, this was during our brief effort to be more green). On our way home we talked about how it was so strange that my time of the month slipped right on by without "presenting itself". Q suggested I take a pregnancy test for peace of mind to drink (and enjoy) the beers I was so pumped to consume.

So we arrived home, let the dog out, took the test, did a few other things, looked at the test... HOLY SHIT, was I pregnant? Quentin left the house, bought 2 more tests, came back and I sent him to meet our friends since we were supposed to meet them about an hour before. Our story was that I came down with a terrible headache and just wanted to chill.

While Q was at the bar, I took the other 2 tests and emailed him a pic of all 3 tests showing positive signs.
So this was the beginning...

My favorite memory of the "finding out" was the lady at the grocery store saying to us as we sheepishly put the tests on the conveyor belt..."are you hoping for a plus or a minus?"

Ha ha ha...

We both smiled and said "plus...we think!"

Being a few days out from delivery now...my answer would be...Heck yes I want a plus! :-)
