Parent Teacher Conference...for a 6 Month Old?

We had an interesting day today. E's daycare had parent/teacher conferences this afternoon. When I first heard about it, I was actually nervous. Are they going to tell me that I am not feeding him the right things? Or that we aren't reading to him enough? My fears actually turned into laughter when I thought they might tell me that he was drooling too much. I had nothing to worry about. (Which I should have known). His daycare is awesome. They gave us pictures of him during water play and sitting in a pumpkin. They talked about what foods they are introducing and shared his first piece of artwork.

The only criticism they had is that we need to work with Elliot on his socialization. Socialization? I was confused. E? Not sociable? The kid smiles when the dog walks by. He laughs when he farts. He flirts with any female he lays his eyes on (regardless of age). Then I was told "E wants to be the center of attention. ALL of the time". Ok...I got it. He wants to entertain. If he notices someone NOT looking at him, he will cough or fuss. Not a lot. But just enough to prove "made you look"! I understand that this might make their job a little harder in a group setting,..but I will NOT ignore him when I get home from work. He is my source of entertainment in the evenings. I only have 2 hours with him before bed. I am going to make the most of it. Thanks but no thanks! If I am going to feel guilty about anything, it will be that I am not getting warm meals on the table after work. Not that I am paying too much attention to my baby.
